In November this year, manganese ore shipments from Australia's Port Hedland totaled 151,000 metric tons, increasing by 16.39 percent from 129,738 metric tons in October and down 8.82 percent compared to the same month of 2012, according to the monthly data released by the Port Hedland Port Authority.

According to the released information, China was the only export destination for manganese ore shipments from Port Hedland in November this year with shipments increasing more than three-fold month on month.

Port Hedland handles production from mines owned by BHP Billiton, Fortescue Metals Group and Atlas Manganese in the manganese ore-rich Pilbara region of Western Australia.
