Manganese ore exports via Port Hedland to China rise in Nov

In November this year, manganese ore shipments from Australia's Port Hedland totaled 165,598 metric tons, increasing 16.7 percent compared to the previous month and up 17.3 percent compared to the same month last year, according to Port Hedland Port Authority.
 
According to the released information, China was the only export destination for manganese ore shipments from Port Hedland in November this year, while it was also the only destination in the previous month this year and the same month of 2011.
 
Port Hedland handles production from mines owned by BHP Billiton, Fortescue Metals Group and Atlas Manganese in the manganese ore-rich Pilbara region of Western Australia.
