The annual production capacity of the blast furnace will be 2.5 million mt.
The consortium will supply basic engineering, proprietary and special equipment as well as technical supervisory services, while L&T will supply detail engineering, indigenous mechanical, electrical and instrumentation works.
The construction in question is foreseen to be completed within 28 months, starting from December 2007.
L&T recently bagged another order for a blast furnace from Tata Steel, as previously reported by SteelOrbis.
