Logistics costs in China increase by eight percent in H1

In the first six months of the current year, total logistics costs in China amounted to RMB 6.6 trillion ($0.96 trillion), up 8.0 percent year on year, as announced by China’s National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC). In particular, in the given period China’s transportation costs amounted to RMB 3.4 trillion ($0.49 trillion), indicating a year-on-year increase of 7.4 percent, storage costs amounted to RMB 2.3 trillion ($0.33 trillion), up 8.9 percent year on year, while management costs totaled RMB 0.8 trillion ($0.12 trillion), up 8.3 percent year on year.
