LME claims default of MF Global

The London Metal Exchange (LME) announced Monday that clearing house group LCH.Clearnet Limited has declared financial services provider MF Global UK Limited a defaulter under the Regulation 1.7 of the Default Regulations of the Exchange.

As a defaulter, MF Global has been suspended from LMEselect, an exchange-operated electronic trading platform, and LME's "ring" trading platform.
