Lian Yuan Steel starts building 3200 m3 blast furnace

China's Hunan Province based Hunan-Valin Steel's subsidiary Lian Yuan Steel, recently announced the start of building work on a new blast furnace, which is part of a turnkey contract reconstruction project taking place within the scope of the producer's 11th Five-Year Product Upgrading Plan. China Metallurgical Group is in charge of the project in question.

The new 3,200 m3 blast furnace will be constructed with a designed annual production capacity of 2.6 million mt of pig iron. The blast furnace life expectancy is over 15 years. contract, with a designed production capability of 2.6 million mt pig iron. Meanwhile, the lifetime of the furnace's hot blast stove is above 30 years. Both of which are very high above the standards.
