Guangfeng Steel Products Co., Ltd, based in Xindu in the city of Chengdu in the western Chinese province of Sichuan, has successfully commenced production following completion of construction of phase 2 of its facilities. The company in question is the largest steel pipe producer in western China. Its main products include CR strip, thin square and rectangular tubing, thin welded tubes, etc. The products are used in the construction, hardware, household appliance and furniture industries.
Construction of the company's facilities started in 2005 on a site covering 100 acres. Production at the phase 1 facilities started in early 2007. Total annual revenues of the project are expected to exceed RMB 1.5 billion ($0.219 billion), with income tax above RMB 20 million ($2.93 million) per year.
