Laiwu Steel raises ex-factory prices for rebar

On November 5, Shandong Province-based Laiwu Iron and Steel Co., Ltd announced an upward adjustment to its ex-factory prices for rebar. The details are as follows:

The price of HRB 335 16-25 mm rebar has increased by RMB 100/mt ($14.6/mt). The price of HRB 400 is RMB 150/mt ($21.9/mt) higher than the price of HRB 335 material of the same size. Following the price rise, HRB 335 16-25 mm rebar now costs RMB 3,750/mt ($549.8/mt), including VAT.

All the above prices include 17 percent VAT, and are effective from November 5, 2008.
