Kremikovtzi reacts to EU tariffs with its own

Kremikovtzi, Bulgaria's largest steel producer, reacting to the EU call for safeguard measures, is demanding the Bulgarian government implement some of its own safeguards to protect the domestic market there. Since Kremikovtzi exports 70% of its products to the EU, it is certain to be hit hard. Bulgaria is exempt from the US Section 201 measures under the 3% minimum quota.
