Kobe Steel’s Chinese subsidiary officially starts business

Japanese steelmaker Kobe Steel Ltd has announced that it has officially launched into business its China-based subsidiary Kobe Welding of Shanghai Co., Ltd, with an opening ceremony in Shanghai, China on December 3.

According to a Kobe statement, Kobe Welding of Shanghai markets welding consumables, welding robot systems and parts, also providing maintenance services. Established in February 2010, the company began business operations in April and a welding robot has recently been installed at a demonstration space in the office.

Offering welding solutions in the expanding Chinese market, Kobe Welding of Shanghai is working on strengthening its business and undertaking the training of its local staff to better serve the Chinese market, Kobe Steel said.
