Kobe Steel plans to increase its crude steel output

According to recent news, Kobe Steel has announced that it expects its crude steel output to increase by 30'000 tons in October-December period, from 1'860'000 tons it produced during July-September period. This increase in production is stated to be related with the increasing demand from automotive sector and the mills' supplying steel to Nagoya works of Nippon Steel. Moreover, steel demand in Asia and need for steel in industries such as shipbuilding, construction and industrial machine are expected to increase. In line with these estimations, Kobe Steel expects to produce 7.4 million tons per annum.
