Iranian steelmaker Khouzestan Steel produced 3,095,000 mt of semi-finished steel (
billet, bloom and
slab) in the first 11 months of the last Iranian year (ended March 20), representing an increase of 13 percent compared to the volume of 2,745,000 mt recorded in the same period of the previous Iranian year, according to the Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization (IMIDRO).
According to its development plan, Khouzestan Steel aims to increase its annual semi-finished steel output capacity from the current 3.2 million mt to five million mt.
