Khouzestan Steel’s semi-finished steel output increases by 19 percent

Iranian steelmaker Khouzestan Steel produced 1,963,000 mt of semi-finished steel (billet, bloom and slab) in the first seven months of the current Iranian year (started March 21), representing an increase of 19 percent compared to the volume of 1,649,000 mt recorded in the same period of the previous Iranian year - according to the Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization (IMIDRO).

According to its development plan, Khouzestan Steel aims to increase its annual semi-finished steel output capacity from the current 3.2 million mt to five million mt.
