Russian sources have reported that the Indian stainless steel producer Jindal Stainless Limited (JSL) is to build a new stainless steel mill in Russia's Leningrad region.

According to the report, the new mill, worth $60 million, would have a designed production capacity of 400,000 metric tons of stainless steel slabs.

However, commenting on the issue to SteelOrbis, JSL's representative denied that the company has reached a definite deal for Russia, adding that JSL is considering all opportunities in attractive foreign markets, including Russia.
