Jiujiang Steel’s 1,080 m³ blast furnace produces first batch of pig iron

Jiangxi Province-based Chinese steelmaker Jiujiang Iron and Steel Co. (Jiujiang Steel), a subsidiary of Jiangxi Pingxiang Iron and Steel Co, has announced that its 1,080 m³ blast furnace has produced its first batch of pig iron.
 
Construction work on the project for Jiujiang Steel's new 1,080 m³ blast furnace, which had started on December 5, 2010, was carried out by China-based MCC Capital Engineering & Research Incorporation Ltd.
