Gansu-based Chinese steel producer Jiuquan Steel (Jiugang) has completed the construction of and commissioned its No. 1 carbon steel cold rolled 1,800 mm continuous galvanizing line.
The line, which is a follow-up project to Jiugang's pickling line, is designed to produce galvanized sheets using pure zinc and zinc-aluminum alloy, and has an annual capacity of 800,000 mt. Meanwhile, Jiugang also has plans to build a No. 2 galvanizing line for the production of galvanized sheet up to 0.5 mm thick, with a designed annual capacity of 700,000 mt.
