JISCO’s crude steel output exceeds 10 million mt in 2012

Gansu Province-based Chinese steelmaker Jiuquan Iron and Steel (Group) Co. (JISCO) has announced that as of December 25 its total output of crude steel for 2012 has exceeded 10 million mt for the second time, following a total crude steel output of over 10 million mt in 2011.
 
In the given period, the main production site of Jiuquan Group produced 5.60 million mt of crude steel and 1.09 million mt of stainless crude steel. Its subsidiaries Yigang Iron and Steel Co. and Yuzhong Iron and Steel Co. respectively produced 1.98 million mt and 1.31 million mt of crude steel.
