A successful hot run test was carried out on November 25 on the steel bar production line No. 2 of Hebei Province-based Chinese steelmaker Jinxi Iron and Steel Group Co.(Jinxi Group), as announced by China Metallurgical Group Corporation (MCC) on November 28. MCC subsidiary Huatian Engineering and Technology Cooperation, MCC (HTC) was responsible for technology, plant design as well as supply of rolling and cooling bed equipment.
The steel bar production line in question has a designed annual output capacity of 1 million mt, mainly for rebar and glossy round bar.
HTC was previously responsible for design and supply of Jinxi Group’s H-beam production facilities and its steel bar production line No. 1.
