The Geology and Mining Bureau of the Chinese province of Jiangxi has announced its mining exploration targets for the current year.
As regards newly-added mining reserves for the current year, Jiangxi Province is targeting 300,000 mt of tungsten, 20 million mt of iron ore, 10 million mt of coal, 500,000 mt of copper, 10 mt of gold, and 25,000 mt of molybdenum.
In order to achieve its targets, Jiangxi Province will concentrate mining activities on mineral belts alongside the Yangtze River, in Wuyishan, Mount Nanling and in Qinzhou-Hangzhou. Meanwhile, it will also prioritize exploration for iron ore in the central Jiangxi area, while prioritizing exploration for copper and gold in the Dongxiang-Dexing area and exploration of multi-metal mines in the Jiurui area.
