Japan’s cold rolled steel exports up 33.4 percent in Apr

According to statistics released by Japan's Ministry of Finance, Japan's cold rolled steel coil and sheet exports totaled 309,043 metric tons in April this year, falling by 0.8 percent compared to March and up 33.4 percent year on year.

In the first four months, Japan's cold rolled steel exports increased by seven percent compared to the same quarter of the previous year, amounting to 1.1 million mt.

In the first four months, China was Japan's largest cold rolled steel export destination, receiving a total of 327,053 metric tons, down 15.4 percent, while Thailand and Indonesia followed China receiving 167,900 mt and 139,557 mt, with increases of 28.7 percent and 2.5 percent respectively, all year on year.
