According to statistics released by Japan's Ministry of Finance, Japan's cold rolled steel coil and sheet exports totaled 264,029 metric tons in June this year, falling by 13.3 percent month on month and down 20.3 percent compared to June 2011.
In the first half of the current year, Japan's cold rolled steel exports decreased by 19.5 percent compared to the corresponding quarter of the previous year, amounting to 1.6 million mt.
In the first half, China was the largest cold rolled steel export destination of Japan, totaling 539,754 metric tons, down 14.6 percent compared to January-June 2011, while exports to Indonesia amounted to 207,520 metric tons, falling 4.8 percent compared to the same period of 2011.
