Japanese auto output down 5.9 percent in July

According to the data provided by the Japan Automobile Manufacturers Association (JAMA), in July this year Japanese automobile production (including passenger cars, trucks and buses) totaled 841,812 units, decreasing by 53,034 units or 5.9 percent compared to the same month of 2014, decreasing for the 13th consecutive month on year-on-year basis. 
 
In July, domestic automobile sales in Japan stood at 425,093 vehicles, down 7.6 percent as compared with the same month of 2014. Meanwhile, the country's automobile exports in July this year amounted to 415,735 units, increasing by 1,463 units or 0.4 percent year on year, rising for the second consecutive month.
