According to the statistics released by the Italian steel producers' association Federacciai, in the first two months of the current year Italy's steel imports amounted to 2.249 million metric tons, decreasing by 29.7 percent, while its steel exports totaled 2.997 million metric tons, up 10 percent, both compared to the previous year.
