"We hope to come back home with more opportunities for our industry," stated Emma Marcegaglia, president of Confindustria (confederation of Italian industries), as she joined the Italian delegation at the World Expo in Shanghai.

Ms. Marcegaglia added, "This is the third mission of Confindustria in China, and this time we reached the outstanding number of about 600 participants."

"China is a country which is showing huge growth. Despite the global crisis its GDP was up 8.7 percent in 2009 and this year it will increase by nine percent," added Ms. Marcegaglia, who stated that Italy is already the third ranking European country - following Germany and France - in terms of trading activity with China.
