ISG to restart its plate mill at Burns Harbor

According to the statement released by International Steel Group (ISG), the company will restart its idled plate mill at Burns Harbor facility in Indiana on the back of rising demand. The plate mill is scheduled to commence operations in the second quarter of 2005. The company officials stated that the mill will be operational as a result of the demand from the customers and the company's desire to quickly respond to the needs of its customers. The mill will be capable of serving various sectors with its products such as carbon, high-strength low-alloy and alloy plate.
