ISG reduces raw material surcharge

International Steel Group (ISG) has recently announced that it reduced raw material surcharge by $25 per ton as scrap prices have fallen recently. The surcharge, which is currently $190 per ton will be decreased to $165 per ton effective as of October 4, 2004. It is stated that the new surcharge will remain in effect until at least October 31, 2004. With the new surcharge, ISG's October prices for hot rolled sheet, cold rolled sheet and hot dip galvanized will be $725 per ton, $825 per ton and $885 per ton, respectively.
