Iranian state-owned steel producer Mobarakeh is expected export more than 700,000 metric tons of flat products (HRC, CRC, HDG, etc.) in the current Iranian year which will end on March 20, 2010, according to Mobarakeh CEO Mohamad Rajaie.

Mr. Rajaie also said that the company's flat product exports totaled only 350,000 metric tons in the last Iranian year which ended on March 20, 2009, due to high demand in the local market and the global downturn. He added that Mobarakeh's finished steel exports in the first nine months of the current Iranian year amounted to about 450,000 metric tons, increasing by 40 percent year on year.
