Iran’s crude steel output up 18 percent in first 11 months of Iranian year

Iran produced 11.55 million mt of crude steel in the first 11 months of the current Iranian year (started March 21, 2010), which represents an increase of 18 percent year on year, according to the Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization (IMIDRO). Iran also produced 24.32 million mt of iron ore in the given period, up 4.6 percent compared to the corresponding period of the previous Iranian year, according to the same source.
