Iranian state-owned mills see 29 percent rise in finished steel output

Iranian state-owned steel plants produced 1,993,000 mt of crude steel and 1,909,000 mt of finished products in the first two months of the current Iranian year (started March 21), up six percent and 29 percent respectively compared to same period of last year, according to the Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization (IMIDRO).

In the given period, Iranian state-owned steel plants also exported about 138,776 mt of steel (both semis and finished products) with a value of $81,481,000, according to the same source.
