Iran proposes tractor plant for Tajikistan

Iran Tractor Manufacturing Co. announced that the company plans to build a 3'000 unit per annum capacity tractor assembly line in Tajikistan. The assembly unit, which is expected to become operational in September 2005, will increase the total production capacity of the company to 5'000 tractors per year. The company hopes to expand its market into Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan.
