The national statistics agency in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil reported Thursday that industrial output in Brazil was up 0.4 percent from September to October, the fastest pace in the past three months. October production is also up an additional 2.1 percent over the same period a year ago.

Strong domestic demand and increases in consumer prices are expected to be the primary factors driving the increase, as the production of durable goods was up 2.8 percent in October from the prior month.
