India’s Tata Steel has successfully commissioned a 70-ton ladle refining furnace (LRF) at its Jamshedpur facility, in collaboration with Spain-based engineering firm Sarralle. The project, ordered in 2024, marks another milestone in the long-standing partnership between the two companies.

Since 2018, Sarralle has delivered 38 ladle furnaces worldwide, of which 17 are operating in India. This strong track record positions the company as a reliable partner in the Indian steel industry.

Sarralle designs and supplies ladle furnaces ranging from 6 mt to 340 mt with transformer power between 8 MVA and 55 MVA. These furnaces are known for their robust, user-friendly and low-maintenance design, making them suitable for both small- and large-scale steel operations.
