India’s NMDC Steel Limited will auction 45,000 mt of various coke products including blast furnace grade coke, coke dust and nut coke on May 3, 2023, company sources said on Wednesday, April 26.
NMDC Steel Limited, an arm of government-owned miner NMDC Limited, is currently constructing a 3 million mt greenfield steel mill project in Chhattisgarh state, which is scheduled to begin commercial production at the end of June.
The company commenced production from its coke over battery (COB1) last October and started production at its coke oven battery (COB2) last Friday and is presently offering the production for local commercial sale.
