India’s NMDC Limited sees 8% rise in iron ore output in January 2026

Indian government-run miner NMDC Limited achieved iron ore production of 5.56 million mt in January 2026, a rise of 8.04 percent year on year, according to a company statement on Tuesday, February 3.

The company reported total sales of 4.79 million mt, a rise of 6.92 percent year on year.

On a cumulative basis, NMDC’s iron ore production during the April-January period of the fiscal year 2025-26 stands at 42.45 million mt, a rise of 18.34 percent year on year.

Total sales during the period came to 39.73 million mt, up 9.69 percent year on year.
