Hyundai Hysco’s HRC consumption to rise by 500,000 mt next year

South Korean steel and auto parts producer Hyundai Hysco has announced that its hot rolled coil (HRC) consumption will increase by 500,000 mt in 2012. Hyundai Hysco is expected to consume 5 million mt of HRC this year, with its HRC consumption expected to rise by 500,000 mt next year due to increased hot dip galvanized (HDG) plate production in line with the planned commissioning of the continuous galvanizing line (CGL) at its Suncheon plant in 2012.
 
Of Hyundai Hysco's total 5.5 million HRC consumption next year, 1 million mt will be used in pipe production, with the remaining 4.5 million mt to be used in production of cold rolled galvanized steel plate.
