CFL Participacoes, a holding company owned by the cousins of Benjamin Steinbruch, the current CEO of Brazilian steelmaker CSN, has filed a request to sell a number of companies.

In the lawsuit, CFL requested the court demand the sale of all assets under the Vicunha Steel holding group, which includes CSN, among other companies. About 49.2 percent of CSN’s shares are owned by Vicunha.

If CFL’s request is met, CFL would have a direct share at CSN. Currently, CFL has a 40 percent stake in Vicunha.
