Hebei to eliminate blast furnaces of 450 cubic meters and lower

The government of China's Hebei Province has issued new regulations for 2015, according to which blast furnaces with capacity equal to and below 450 cubic meters and converters of 40 metric tons and lower will be eliminated in the given year.

Meanwhile, iron smelting and steel smelting projects - both new projects and expansion projects - will be prohibited in the current year.
