Hebei Steel targets crude steel output of over 45 million mt in 2013

On January 21, Hebei Province-based major Chinese steel producer Hebei Iron and Steel Group announced that in 2013 it is targeting a pig iron output of over 46 million mt, while targeting crude steel and finished steel outputs of over 45 million mt. Additionally, Hebei Steel Group hopes to achieve an operating revenue of RMB 240 billion ($38.5 billion) in 2013, as it seeks to ensure the profitability of its main business.
