On July 28, Hebei Province-based Handan Steel announced its ex-factory prices for August. The details are as follows:
1. WR:
The price of WR has declined RMB 130/mt ($19/mt). After adjustment, the price of Q235B 6.5 mm is RMB 5,750/mt ($843/mt).
2. Rebar:
The producer's price for rebar has remained stable. And so the price of HRB 335 12 mm rebar is still at RMB 5,910/mt ($867/mt), HRB 335 14 mm is at RMB 5,860/mt ($859/mt), while HRB 335 16-25 mm costs RMB 5,710/mt ($837/mt).
3. Medium plate:
The price of medium plate has not changed. Thus, the price of Q235B 14-25 mm is still at RMB 6,700/mt ($982/mt). The producer's low alloy plate price is now RMB 180/mt ($26/mt) higher than its common carbon plate price.
4. Shipbuilding plate:
The producer's price for shipbuilding plate has remained stable, and so the price of CCSA 20 mm is still at RMB 7,695/mt ($1,128/mt).
5. Round bar:
The price of round bar has also remained stable. Thus, the price of Q235 16-25mm stays at RMB 5,750/mt ($843/mt).
6. HR:
The price of HR remains the same, but the discount range has increased to RMB 100-200/mt ($15-29/mt).
7. CR:
The producer's CR price has also remained stable. As a result, the price of SPCC 1.0mm is still at RMB 7,100/mt ($1,041/mt).
The above prices include taxes (17 percent VAT) and are effective as of August 1.
