Shaoguan Steel hikes its ex-factory prices again

On December 5, Guangdong Province-based Shaoguan Steel hiked its ex-factory prices again, following its previous most recent price increase announced on December 3. The details are as follows:

1. Rebar and round bar

Prices have remained stable, and so the price of 18-25mm HRB 335 is still at RMB 4,750/mt ($643/mt).

2. Wire rod

Prices have risen RMB 100/mt ($13.5/mt). Following the adjustment, the price of 6.5-10 mm Q235 is now at RMB 4,900/mt ($663/mt).

3. Shipbuilding and medium plate

The price of shipbuilding plate of 6-10 mm thickness has been increased by RMB 150/mt ($20/mt), while thicknesses equal to and above 10 mm have gone up RMB 100/mt ($13.5/mt). As a result, in Guangzhou 20 mm CCSB shipbuilding plate costs RMB 5,400 ($731/mt), while 14-20 mm Q235 common carbon plate has risen to RMB 4,900/mt ($663/mt).

The above prices include 17 percent VAT and are effective as of December 5.
