Shaoguan Steel raises ex-factory prices of longs and plates

On December 3, Guangdong Province-based Shaoguan Steel upped its ex-factory prices for some products. The details are as follows;

1. The ex-factory price of rebar has gone up RMB 50/mt ($6.7/mt). After the adjustment, the new price of 18-25 mm HRB 335 is at RMB 4,700/mt ($634/mt).

2. The producer's wire rod price has been hiked by RMB 100/mt ($13.5/mt), with the new prices of 6.5-10 mm Q235 now at RMB 4,660/mt ($629/mt).

3. The prices of medium plate and shipbuilding plate have been raised by RMB 100/mt ($13.5/mt). After the adjustment, the new price of 14-20 mm Q235 is RMB 4,850/mt ($655/mt) in Guangzhou, while 20 mm CCSB shipbuilding plate has risen to RMB 5,300/mt ($715/mt).

All the above prices include taxes (17 percent VAT) and are effective as of December 3.
