Henan Province-based Handan Steel recently succeeded in exporting 5,000 metric tons of color coated coils to Russia - the first time ever Handan Steel has exported color coated coils to the international market. The specification of the products was DX51D+Z, 0.5 mm x 1,250 mm x C, with an average coil weight of approximately eight metric tons.
The technology and some of the key equipment at Handan Steel's color coated coil line were mainly introduced from South Korean manufacturer POSCO, and include an advanced computer-controlled system. The line has a designed production capacity of 120,000 metric tons per annum and can produce color coated coils of 0.25-1.5 mm in thickness and of 900-1,350 mm in width.
