Guangzhou JFE Steel Sheet Co. (GJSS), a joint venture established between Japan's JFE Steel Corporation and Chinese steelmaker Guangzhou Iron and Steel Enterprises Holdings and based in China, has announced that it has commissioned a second continuous galvanizing line, part of an integrated production system including cold rolling, continuous annealing and two hot dip galvanizing lines.

The new continuous galvanizing line with an annual capacity of 400,000 mt will increase GJSS's annual hot dip galvanized steel sheet capacity to 800,000 mt, helping the company to meet increasing demand from automobile and electrical appliance industries in China.

The company had already started commercial production at a cold rolling mill with an annual capacity of 1.8 million mt and at a continuous annealing line with an annual capacity of 1 million mt, in July and August 2011, respectively.
