Germany's passenger car output up 7.1 percent in Feb from Jan

In February this year, new passenger car registrations in the German market totaled 243,602 units, up 0.9 percent month on month and decreasing by three percent year on year, according to the data released by the German Association of the Automotive Industry (VDA). Meanwhile, in the January-February period of this year, Germany's new passenger car registrations increased by four percent year on year, totaling 485,001 units.
 
According to the VDA, in February of the current year 492,100 passenger cars rolled off production lines in Germany, which represents a month-on-month increase of 7.1 percent and a year-on-year fall of seven percent. German passenger car output in the January-February period of this year amounted to 951,400 units, increasing by one percent compared to the same period last year.
 
In February this year, a total of 380,700 passenger cars were exported from Germany, up by 9.2 percent month on month and decreasing by five percent compared to February last year. In the first two months of the current year, German passenger car exports amounted to 729,200 units, increasing two percent year on year.
