Germany's passenger car output up 13.3 percent in Mar from Feb

In March this year, new passenger car registrations in the German market totaled 359,700 units, up 47.6 percent month on month and increasing by 11 percent year on year, according to the data released by the German Association of the Automotive Industry (VDA). Meanwhile, in the January-March period of this year, Germany's new passenger car registrations increased by seven percent year on year, totaling 844,700 units.
 
According to the VDA, in March 557,800 passenger cars rolled off production lines in Germany, which represents a month-on-month increase of 13.3 percent and a year-on-year rise of seven percent. German passenger car output in the January-March period of this year amounted to 1,504,700 units, increasing by two percent compared to the same period last year.
 
In March, a total of 430,800 passenger cars were exported from Germany, up by 13.1 percent month on month and increasing by nine percent compared to March last year. In the first three months of the current year, German passenger car exports amounted to 1,156,200 units, increasing four percent year on year.
