Germany’s industrial output down 1.1 percent in July from June

In July this year, seasonally-adjusted industrial production decreased by 1.1 percent in Germany compared to the previous month, while the corrected figure for June showed a decrease of 0.7 percent compared to May, according to the provisional data of the Federal Statistical Office (Destatis).

As compared to June, in July this year production excluding energy and construction narrowed by 1.9 percent, while the production of capital goods fell by 2.5 percent and output of consumer goods decreased 0.9 percent. Meanwhile, the production of intermediate goods was down by 1.4 percent, while energy production remained unchanged and construction output increased by 2.6 percent, all month on month.
