In June this year, seasonally-adjusted industrial production decreased by 0.9 percent in Germany compared to the previous month, while the corrected figure for May showed an increase of 2.4 percent compared to April, according to the provisional data of the Federal Statistical Office (Destatis).
As compared to May, in June this year production excluding energy and construction narrowed by 0.8 percent, while the production of capital goods fell by 0.6 percent and output of consumer goods decreased 1.6 percent. Meanwhile, the production of intermediate goods was down by 0.8 percent, while energy production increased by 2.9 percent and construction output saw a fall of 3.2 percent, all month on month.
