In October this year, seasonally-adjusted industrial production fell by 0.5 percent in Germany compared to the previous month, while the corrected figure for September showed an increase of 0.2 percent compared to August, according to the provisional data of the Federal Statistical Office (Destatis).
As compared to September, in October this year production excluding energy and construction decreased by 0.4 percent and the production of consumer goods was down by 3.2 percent, while the output of capital goods rose by 0.3 percent and the production of intermediate goods was up by 0.2 percent. Meanwhile, energy production declined by 3.2 percent and the construction output decreased by 0.3 percent, all month on month.
