Germany’s industrial output down 0.4 percent in December from November

In December last year, seasonally-adjusted industrial production fell by 0.4 percent in Germany compared to the previous month, while the corrected figure for November showed a decrease of 1.3 percent compared to October, according to the provisional data of the Federal Statistical Office (Destatis).

As compared to November, in December last year production excluding energy and construction increased by 0.2 percent and the production of consumer goods was down by 0.5 percent, while the output of capital goods rose by 0.9 percent and the production of intermediate goods decreased by 0.4 percent. Meanwhile, energy production remained at the same level compared to the previous month and the construction output declined by 4.1 percent month on month.
