German iron ore import prices up 82.3 percent in January

According to a report released by the German Federal Statistical Office (Destatis), in January this year the import price of iron ore in Germany increased by 82.3 percent year on year and was up 12.8 percent month on month. 
 
In January, the average import price of iron and steel and ferroalloys in Germany increased by 22.2 percent year on year and was up 6.7 percent as compared to December.
 
Meanwhile, in January this year the import price of nickel increased by 17.7 percent compared to the same month last year and fell by 7.3 percent month on month.
